Job summary

Arlo Inc. in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Senior Developer for AI Developer Tools to design and build an autonomous coding agent that writes, tests, reviews, and ships code.

You will connect the agent to GitHub, Jira, Slack, Buildkite, Confluence and AWS, implement scalable Python services, and improve the agent's context, memories and QA. With 5+ years of software experience, strong Python, and expertise in LLMs, CI/CD, and cloud IaC, you will drive end-to-end automation for Arlo's developer

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong Python skills and experience with LLMs.
• Experience building and integrating developer tooling with GitHub, Jira, and Slack.
• Hands-on with CI/CD and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Terraform, Helm).

Responsibilities

• Build and improve the autonomous coding loop: task understanding, code generation, test execution, self-repair, and code review.
• Design the agent's context layer — codebase semantic index, retrieval, and knowledge base.
• Leverage LLMs to automate repetitive engineering work and provide smart developer assistance.
• Build scalable Python services and APIs powering internal developer tooling.
• Integrate the agent with tools we actually use — GitHub, Jira, Slack, Buildkite, Confluence, AWS — via MCP and direct APIs.
• Measure agent quality: evals, benchmarks, and regression suites for agent behavior.
• Work closely with platform and product teams to find high-impact automation opportunities.
