Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking an AI/DevOps Engineer - Level 4 in Redondo Beach, CA to support deployment, integration, and sustainment of AI/ML and LLM-enabled tools in secure enterprise environments.

The role focuses on Linux-based infrastructure, containerized deployments, and cloud integrations, working with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions. Required TS clearance and strong automation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 8+ years of relevant experience; OR Master’s with 6+ years; OR PhD with 4+ years.
• Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance at time of application.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting Linux environments.
• Experience developing automation using Bash and Python.
• Experience deploying and managing containerized applications using Podman, Docker, Portainer, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
• Experience deploying, supporting, or sustaining AI/ML/LLM-enabled solutions in production or enterprise environments.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience with GitHub and/or GitLab.
• Experience with OAuth/SSO, credential management, and session management.
• Experience with SSL certificates and enterprise proxy/firewall configurations.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and sustain infrastructure for AI/ML and LLM-enabled apps and services.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based environments across development to production.
• Build and manage containerized solutions with Podman, Docker, Portainer, Kubernetes.
• Develop automation with Bash and Python.
• Support cloud deployments in AWS and/or Azure.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD workflows with GitHub/GitLab.
• Configure enterprise integrations involving proxies, firewalls, SSL, OAuth, SSO.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve AI platform reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Develop and maintain deployment docs and runbooks.
