Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking senior engineers for the Advanced Forward Engineering team within the Office of the CTO. You will own end-to-end delivery of AI-native systems embedded with clients in regulated environments, writing production-grade code and shaping outcomes with platform partners.

This role emphasizes ownership of complex problems, pragmatic tradeoffs, and collaboration with security, governance, and architecture teams to deliver trusted, auditable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering complex software in enterprise environments.
• Experience in customer-facing or consulting engineering roles.
• Hands-on with distributed systems, APIs, integrations, data-intensive apps.
• Practical experience with AI stacks (LLMs, agentic workflows, orchestration).
• Proven track record owning delivery in real-world conditions.
• Production-grade code under compliance, performance, reliability constraints.
• Ability to work with engineering, architecture, security, governance teams.

Responsibilities

• Embed with client teams to frame problems and design delivery paths.
• Own end-to-end delivery from shaping to deployment and sustainment.
• Implement AI-enabled workflows and integrations using approved templates.
• Write and review production-grade code across relevant layers.
• Make real-time tradeoffs balancing functionality, safety, and cost.
• Ensure security, AI integrity, and compliance with regulators.
• Capture learnings and feedback to improve platform evolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce rework and enable repeatable delivery.
