Job summary

PwC South Africa is seeking an AML and Sanctions- AI Engineer at Senior Manager level in New York. You will lead data-driven AML and sanctions initiatives, guiding teams to deliver strategic analytics, data architecture, and scalable visualization solutions for major banking and capital markets clients.

You will mentor teams, navigate ambiguity with sound judgment, and apply systems thinking to improve client outcomes. A Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 7 years of experience in AML/sanctions or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of data-driven AML/sanctions solutions to optimize client outcomes.
• Guide teams in applying advanced analytics to deliver strategic insights for clients.
• Oversee data architecture development and data pipeline management to ensure data quality and accessibility.
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships to address data challenges in banking and capital markets.
• Oversee deployment of scalable data visualization and analytics solutions to support decision-making.
• Promote continuous process improvement and adapt to changing environments.
• Validate outcomes with clients and iterate based on feedback.
• Direct teams through ambiguous situations with sound judgment.
• Coach and develop diverse, high-performing teams.
• Apply systems thinking to identify opportunities in financial crimes and sanctions contexts.
