Job summary

EY is seeking an AI Systems Engineer to own the stateful backbone of EY’s AI-native platform, including data stores, memory tiers, and event streaming across cloud, on-prem, edge, client-managed, and air-gapped environments.

This role requires deep experience with production data infrastructure, databases, and streaming systems, with a focus on durability, recoverability, and cross-environment portability. EY offers a hybrid model and broad Total Rewards benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or related field.
• 8+ years operating production data infrastructure and streaming systems.
• Hands-on with PostgreSQL and caching; HA, replication, backup/recovery.
• Experience with vector/graph databases (Qdrant, Milvus, PGVector, Neo4j).
• Experience with Kafka, NATS, Debezium, Flink and CloudEvents.
• Kubernetes with stateful workloads and storage (MinIO/OpenEBS).
• Ability to define data/schema contracts and ownership across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own memory and data stores across environments.
• Own event streaming and async messaging.
• Ensure data durability, consistency, and recoverability.
• Build and operate streaming and CDC pipelines.
• Make state multi-tenant and portable across environments.
• Provide data and lineage substrate for governance and observability.
