Job summary

KTDS, a Koch company, seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Wichita, KS to design, build, and support AI-enabled data solutions. This role blends hands‑on engineering with solution architecture and leadership across multiple systems.

You will drive AI, data, and software initiatives, mentor engineers, and apply AI‑DLC practices to ensure security, scalability, and operability across Koch enterprises. In-office with flexibility.

Qualifications

• Designing, building, deploying, and supporting production software, data, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Leading technical design, architecture, or implementations on large multi-team initiatives.
• Mentoring engineers through reviews and guidance.
• Proficient in Python and SQL, with CI/CD, observability, and orchestration practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of AI, data, and software solutions across systems (pipelines, APIs, apps, agents, automations).
• Apply AI-DLC practices to accelerate development with quality, security, scalability, and operability.
• Collaborate with architects, capability leaders, SMEs, and users to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Design and operationalize generative AI, agentic AI, semantic layers, and RAG capabilities with modern integration standards.
• Drive architecture decisions balancing delivery timelines, risk, and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers through reviews and coaching while contributing to delivery.
• Continuously evaluate emerging AI models and engineering practices to improve outcomes.
