Job summary

Schwab Technology Services (STS) is seeking a Senior AI & Data Scientist to drive design, development, and deployment of innovative AI/ML solutions across Schwab’s enterprise. You will own end-to-end model lifecycle, collaborate with sponsors and engineering partners, and push the boundaries of AI in a regulated financial services environment.

You will lead complex initiatives in areas such as NLP, LLM deployment, real-time inference, and scalable data pipelines, delivering measurable business

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data science and machine learning experience.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a quantitative field.
• 6+ years of Python and SQL for production-grade code.
• Proven ability delivering end-to-end ML solutions across multiple lines of business.
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised ML, with multiple models in production.
• NLP on unstructured data with at least one production solution.
• Practical experience designing LLM solutions deployed for internal use.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with at least 3 production deployments.

Responsibilities

• Get hands-on with big data to analyze, interpret, and extract insights for AI solutions.
• Design and build end-to-end ML systems with scalable architectures and production readiness.
• Translate business strategy into technical data science solutions across sponsors and engineering teams.
• Establish engineering standards for data science including version control and testing.
• Lead initiatives in advanced ML areas like recommender systems and low-latency inference.
