Job summary

Federal Reserve System is seeking a Sr AI Data Scientist to lead analytics, ML, NLP, and modeling efforts within the AI Program Office. You will guide project design, data transformations, and large-scale studies to inform policy and enterprise AI initiatives.

You will work with senior stakeholders to translate complex problems into rigorous data-driven solutions and produce actionable insights for executive audiences. This role is DC/Washington-based and requires top-tier technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience with six years of relevant experience.
• Experience applying advanced quantitative techniques in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, CS, or related field.
• Experience with analytical software (R, MATLAB, SAS) and programming languages (Python, Java, SQL).
• Experience handling large datasets and solving complex problems with strong data quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead statistical and mathematical initiatives to predict future outcomes using ML, NLP, and modeling.
• Design and optimize algorithms for matching and pattern recognition using advanced techniques.
• Lead large-scale analytical research projects from concept to final report.
• Transform large-scale datasets into actionable information and scalable data mining capabilities.
• Visualize findings and communicate results through reports, summaries, and presentations.
