Job summary

Medidata seeks a Data Scientist to design, implement, and productionize AI features integrated with Medidata products, powering clinical trial design and conduct. You will lead model development, interact with product and engineering teams, and mentor junior data scientists while advancing AI services across end-to-end pipelines.

You will design, develop and validate ML models, evaluate tools and technologies, and deliver scalable AI solutions with GPUs on AWS for production use.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a computational field with 5+ years of experience.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, Linux shell scripting, AWS, Docker, and Git.
• Experience with AI service development and model serving, focusing on performance and scalability.
• Strong technical leadership and clear communication.
• Experience with LLM/transformer methods; GPU deployment on AWS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and productionize AI features integrated with Medidata products.
• Build ML models for novel clinical trial applications and validate them.
• Collaborate with product teams to define AI solutions and model serving strategies.
• Develop prototypes showing AI use within customer products.
• Lead junior data scientists and guide cross-team technical decisions.
