Job summary

Oracle Government, Defense & Intelligence Consulting Group is seeking a security-cleared Consulting Senior Principal - AI Database Developer to design and implement Oracle database solutions and AI-enabled data platforms for IC programs. This in-person role is based in Reston, VA with occasional client site visits, requiring TS/SCI clearance with Poly and strong collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Must possess or obtain TS/SCI with Poly.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in database development, data engineering, or ETL/ELT for enterprise-scale systems.
• Strong hands-on experience designing, developing, and implementing Oracle Database solutions.
• Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills, including stored procedures, packages, complex queries, and performance optimization.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable data pipelines, including data transformation, validation, error handling, and operational monitoring.
• Experience working with geospatial data, including vector and raster formats.
• Experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Python, shell scripting, or comparable tools for automation and data processing.
• Working knowledge of data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and secure data handling.
• Ability to collaborate with data scientists, database administrators, application developers, analysts, and customer stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Oracle database solutions, data pipelines, and AI-enabled data platforms for enterprise-scale mission systems.
• Collaborate with customer stakeholders, architects, data scientists, and DBAs to translate complex requirements into secure, reliable, and high-performing solutions.
• Work in high-volume environments with hands-on implementation and optimization of Oracle-based systems.
• Maintain TS/SCI with Poly security posture and related compliance.
• Communicate findings and status with stakeholders and document solutions.
