Job summary

Accenture seeks an experienced Data & AI Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Databricks on Azure. You will work with analytics, data science, and cloud teams to deliver reliable data for AI initiatives, including building autonomous agents and vector search indexes.

This hybrid role requires in-office days and collaborations across multiple US locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of professional experience as a Data & AI Engineer or in a related role.
• Minimum of three years of experience with Microsoft Azure cloud data services.
• Minimum of two years experience with Databricks (PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, workflows).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable, low-latency data pipelines using Azure Databricks and Spark.
• Design and optimize Lakehouse architecture with Bronze/Silver/Gold layers.
• Deliver clean, validated datasets for analytics and AI initiatives.
• Design and implement autonomous agents using Mosaic AI Agent Framework and LangChain/AutoGen.
• Build and optimize vector search indexes with Databricks Vector Search.
• Process large-scale datasets on Databricks Intelligence Platform with Spark.
• Model data to meet business requirements and improve usability.
• Improve data architecture and efficiency continuously.
• Design AI agents with retrieval, orchestration, tool invocation, and observability.
• Monitor pipelines and implement automated alerting and observability.
