Job summary

Meridianlink Coach is seeking a senior backend engineer to own data-heavy features and scale production systems for financial products used by credit unions and their members. You will design robust data models, guide migrations, and ensure multi-tenant reliability at scale.

Work in a TypeScript monorepo with AWS infrastructure, improve pipelines, and integrate third-party APIs. You will monitor production, fix root causes, and help the team make clear technical decisions while applying AI

Qualifications

• 5+ years building, scaling, and running production software.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude).
• Relational data modeling, migrations, and production data systems.
• Strong judgment with sensitive data and high-impact changes.
• Hands-on with AI coding tools and reviewing their outputs.

Responsibilities

• Own data-heavy features from design through production.
• Improve data models, pipelines, migrations, and multi-tenant systems.
• Work in a TypeScript monorepo with AWS infra; touch React when needed.
• Monitor production, investigate issues, and fix root causes.
• Help the team make clear, practical technical decisions.
