Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation is seeking a Senior AI Compute Engineer to join the Infrastructure Specialists team in Santa Clara, CA. You will deploy, manage, and validate AI Compute/HPC infrastructure for customers, acting as the domain expert from planning calls through implementation.

You will hand over documentation, perform knowledge transfers, and provide feedback to internal teams to improve tooling. Travel up to 20% may be required, with a base salary range reflecting Level 4 and Level 5 bands

Qualifications

• 8+ years providing in-depth support and deployment services for hardware/software products.
• Proficient in Linux system administration, process management, packaging, scheduling, kernel troubleshooting, performance tuning, logging, and networking.
• Experience with cluster management and bare-metal provisioning.
• Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.
• Strong communication, organizational, and travel-ready (up to 20%).
• Experience with schedulers such as SLURM, LSF, UGE, etc.
• Familiarity with benchmarking tools like HPL, NCCL tests, MLPerf and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and validate AI Compute/HPC infrastructure in Linux environments for customers.
• Be the domain expert during planning calls through implementation.
• Provide handover documentation and knowledge transfers for customer rollouts.
• Feed back to internal teams by opening bugs, documenting workarounds, and suggesting improvements.
