Job summary

G2i is seeking a Senior AI Interaction Evaluator (Codex/Claude Code) for a contract role to assess AI-generated coding interactions for quality, usefulness, and engineering judgment. You will focus on how the model communicates reasoning and guides the user, not on producing production code.

The role emphasizes engineering taste, explicit feedback, and setting standards for high-quality AI-assisted development workflows. Start ASAP with 10–20 hours/week through early May.

Qualifications

• Staff / Principal-level engineer (or equivalent experience).
• Hands-on experience using OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, Cursor.
• Deep familiarity with modern AI-assisted dev workflows.
• Able to evaluate code without needing to fully execute or deeply review every line.
• Comfortable giving direct, opinionated feedback.
• High bar for what “good engineering” looks like.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated coding interactions end-to-end.
• Judge whether outputs are useful, correct (high level), and aligned with strong engineering thinking.
• Assess the quality of explanations and reasoning, not just code.
• Distinguish between different levels of response quality (e.g. 2 vs 4).
• Provide clear, opinionated feedback on what worked, what didn’t, and what felt off.
• Help define what great looks like when interacting with tools like Cursor.
