Job summary

Deloitte seeks an AI Cloud Security Engineer, Senior Consultant, to design, build, and secure AI-enabled platforms and cloud environments. This role blends AI security architecture, AI Zero Trust, secure AI software development, and cloud security engineering to deliver production-ready solutions.

You will lead delivery, perform threat modeling, and develop reference architectures while mentoring engineers and contributing to practice development. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, AI, Cybersecurity, CE, or SE; equivalent experience may be considered
• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, AI engineering, cybersecurity, cloud security, or technology consulting
• Hands-on experience using at least one AI platform (Anthropic Claude, Claude Code, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Amazon Bedrock, Vertex AI)
• Experience designing or implementing cloud security architecture, secure application development, DevSecOps, and AI security controls
• Experience developing and deploying APIs, databases, distributed systems, or cloud apps using Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, or Java with automated testing and observability
• Ability to travel up to 50% on average; immigration sponsorship may be available

Responsibilities

• Design secure architectures for generative AI, agentic AI, RAG, model-serving, and AI-enabled enterprise apps
• Embed security across the AI software development lifecycle including threat modeling and gate reviews
• Design and secure AI workloads across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and hybrid environments
• Build AI-assisted capabilities to identify, analyze, prioritize, test, and remediate vulnerabilities across code, apps, APIs, and cloud configs
• Develop production AI security apps and platforms using APIs, microservices, observability, and testing
• Lead client discovery, architecture sessions, workshops, and reviews; create reference architectures and accelerators; mentor engineers
