Job summary

Starcom is seeking a Senior AI & Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate intelligent data and AI systems on Azure. You will bridge cloud infrastructure, data engineering, and applied AI—developing production-grade pipelines and AI-enabled apps that deliver measurable business value.

You will be a go-to voice on responsible AI practices, model selection, and evaluation within the team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on software engineering with at least 1 year in AI/ML in production.
• Strong Python proficiency for API development, data manipulation, and async patterns.
• Solid experience with Azure cloud services and Databricks for ML workflows.
• Hands-on with RAG, vector databases, and embedding models.
• Familiarity with MCP or similar model-context tooling; Git-based CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable data and AI pipelines on Azure (Databricks, Data Factory).
• Build RAG systems and AI workflows integrating internal data sources and APIs.
• Develop Python applications, microservices, and Azure Container Apps.
• Apply prompt engineering and work with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI).
• Implement MCP integrations to connect models with enterprise tools and data.
• Contribute to model training workflows and participate in model evaluation.
• Establish AI observability, safety guardrails, and responsible deployment practices.
• Collaborate with data scientists, PMs, and stakeholders; mentor junior engineers.
• Contribute to architectural decisions.
