Job summary
Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Software Development Engineer to architect and develop agentic services powered by large language models. You will work on backend systems, API development, and distributed architectures to deliver scalable, intelligent AI-powered shopping experiences.
Join a collaborative team of engineers and TPMs, shaping the technical roadmap, reliability, and performance while enabling new LLM features for Amazon Stores across platforms.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization techniques.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop agentic services and applications powered by LLMs.
- Build online service architecture, API development, and distributed systems.
- Contribute to technical roadmap, service reliability metrics, and optimizations.
- Design large-scale distributed agentic AI applications with team.
