Job summary

LTIMindtree seeks a Senior Software Developer to design, develop and enhance backend platforms supporting AI-enabled digital products. You will work across AI agents, document processing and ETL pipelines, build APIs and microservices, and collaborate with cloud and data teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

The role requires hands-on engineering, strong Python/TypeScript skills, and experience with Docker, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• 5 years of software engineering experience delivering enterprise-grade backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Experience developing APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with AI application architectures including LLMs, RAG, prompt-driven workflows and agent-based automation.
• Experience with cloud platforms, enterprise integrations and Docker-based deployments.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with Git-based development and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend services for AI-enabled applications.
• Develop LLM-based agents, RAG workflows, tool-calling frameworks and automation pipelines.
• Improve prompt performance, retrieval quality, grounding strategies and output accuracy.
• Implement testing, monitoring, guardrails and evaluation mechanisms for AI solutions.
• Build document ingestion, classification, extraction, transformation and generation pipelines.
• Develop image-processing solutions using OCR, metadata extraction and content enrichment.
• Develop backend applications using Python, TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Build API-driven microservices connecting AI services, applications and enterprise data sources.
