Job summary

Yahoo Inc. is seeking a Senior Accounting Engineer to own engagements at the intersection of accounting, audit, and AI.

You will define the auditing approach for AI-assisted procedures and ensure the work product is defensible and well-documented for reviewers and regulators. This is an early, senior role in a startup-like environment with broad scope, ambiguity, and direct influence on how the platform and methodology evolve.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of audit or assurance experience with in-charge or manager-level responsibility.
• Active CPA license.
• Working knowledge of AICPA auditing standards (AU-C) and risk-based audit methodology.
• Track record of reviewing others' work and owning final engagement quality.
• Experience applying audit expertise outside traditional audit environments (industry, consulting, product).
• Comfort with technology and AI tools; ability to explain AI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of client engagements from onboarding through completion and renewal.
• Lead complex engagements and be the escalation point for methodology questions.
• Explain AI-generated work to client finance teams and fund managers.
• Translate client patterns into product/process changes for engineering.
