KellyMitchell is seeking a Senior AI Architect / Project Architect III for a leading energy and utilities provider in Denver. This role designs scalable, secure AI and Generative AI solutions aligned with enterprise technology strategy and architectural standards.

You will partner with engineering to move AI concepts into production, integrate AI into enterprise systems, and contribute to roadmaps, governance, and platform maturity while coordinating across multiple teams in a remote/hybrid

Qualifications

• Proven production AI/Generative AI experience including LLM-based systems.
• Hands-on AI/ML model development, prototyping and deployment.
• Strong understanding of ML lifecycle: training, inference, monitoring and iteration.
• Experience designing scalable enterprise AI platforms and data pipelines.

Job Summary

Our client, a leading energy and utilities provider, is seeking a Senior AI Architect / Project Architect III to join their team. This role will design and deliver scalable, secure AI and Generative AI solutions aligned with enterprise technology strategy and architectural standards.

Contract Details

Contract Type: Contract with potential conversion to full-time employment

Duration: September 14, 2026 – September 13, 2027

Location: Denver, CO

Work Arrangement: Remote / Hybrid aligned to Denver operations

Core Responsibilities

• Design and implement production-ready AI and Generative AI solutions, including LLM-based applications and services
• Develop scalable, secure, and reliable AI architecture patterns that align with enterprise technology strategy and standards
• Partner with engineering teams to move AI concepts from architecture and prototypes into working production implementations
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise applications, systems, workflows, and data environments
• Collaborate across data, platform, security, architecture, and application teams to support successful AI solution delivery
• Provide architectural guidance around AI platforms, model deployment, data integration, governance, and operational considerations
• Contribute to AI roadmaps, technical decision-making, architecture standards, and enterprise AI platform maturity

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• Proven experience designing and implementing production AI and Generative AI solutions, including LLM-based systems
• Hands‑on experience with AI/ML model development, prototyping, deployment, and implementation
• Strong understanding of the machine learning lifecycle, including training, inference, evaluation, monitoring, and iteration
• Experience designing scalable and reliable enterprise AI platforms, services, and architectural solutions
• Strong understanding of enterprise data pipelines, data platforms, data quality, and analytics environments supporting AI workloads
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise systems, applications, and business workflows
• Ability to translate conceptual architecture into working technical implementations in partnership with engineering teams

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience with cloud‑native architecture and modern software development practices
• Experience establishing or applying enterprise AI architecture patterns, standards, guardrails, and reusable frameworks
• Knowledge of AI governance and responsible AI considerations, including bias, explainability, model performance, and operational risk
• Experience working within large‑scale enterprise data, analytics, or AI platform environments
• Exposure to enterprise security requirements and secure architecture practices for AI solutions
• Experience contributing to AI platform roadmaps, enterprise architecture discussions, and technical strategy
• Background working within complex, highly regulated, energy, utility, or similarly large enterprise environments

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $80.00 and $115.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
