Location: Reston, VA / Plano, TX (On-site from day 1)

Description:

As an Applied AI/ML Architect, you will be responsible for leading architectural decisions for the Cloud and Data Enterprise Portfolios. You must have a deep understanding of technical architecture and experience implementing AI/ML solutions in cloud environments. Knowledge of industry best practices around enterprise AI/ML adoption, security, architectures, and patterns is essential. Experience with microservices architectures, cloud migration for data, and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Strong interpersonal communication skills are required.

Key Responsibilities:

Position yourself as a trusted advisor to business teams, understanding their requirements for cloud implementations.
Provide recommendations for AI/ML implementations and develop technical roadmaps for adoption.
Create application, data, and deployment architectures, and assist with project deliverables.
Design state-of-the-art AI/ML solutions addressing customer requirements for functionality, scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
Collaborate with other project teams including Information Security, Compliance, and Controls on architectural solutions.

Must Have Qualifications:

Hands-on experience with AI/ML for 5-6 years.
Experience with DE using Python.
GenAI experience in AWS.
Knowledge of LLM.
Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

NLP experience is a plus.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; Master’s preferred.
10+ years of application development experience, including 5-6 years in solution architecture and systems engineering in AI-related disciplines.
Experience with cloud providers (AWS or Azure) for at least 5 years.
Knowledge of architecture principles and TOGAF framework is a plus.
AI/ML relevant AWS Professional Certification is preferred.

Required Skills:

Proven track record of implementing machine learning solutions and AI services in production.
Technical leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Familiarity with cloud AI/ML platforms and services for speech, vision, and text.
Strong background in machine learning algorithms.
Expertise in MLOps and DataOps lifecycle and engineering.
Proficiency in Python, Spark, or R.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to create visual concepts and communicate ideas effectively.
Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Stakeholder management and influence skills.
