Job summary

State of Ohio – Job and Family Services (JFS) seeks a Senior AI Architect to guide enterprise architecture, technology modernization, and cloud strategy across multiple divisions. The role collaborates with business leaders and IT teams to define technology strategies and evaluate emerging tech.

Key focus areas include Generative AI, AI/ML, and cloud modernization. Remote position with Ohio/ETZ preference; duration through June 30, 2027, with closing date Oct 21, 2026.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years IT experience with EA and SA.
• Experience leading AI implementations involving Generative AI, RPA, and Virtual Assistants.
• EA governance for cloud modernization initiatives.
• Solution architecture with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
• Experience with AI and RPA technologies such as UiPath.
• Exposure to multiple technologies, platforms, and processing environments.
• Develop technology strategies, roadmaps, business capability models, and customer journey maps.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, leadership, and consulting skills.
• Ability to evaluate emerging technologies, conduct PoC initiatives, and recommend architectural solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead business and IT strategic planning with senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Develop IT strategies, standards, architectural guidelines, and modernization roadmaps.
• Plan and lead PoC initiatives using emerging technologies.
• Research market trends; evaluate technologies, risks, costs, and benefits.
• Provide architectural guidance for Generative AI, Conversational UI, RPA, and cloud services.
• Develop business capability models and customer journey maps.
• Support cloud modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with business units and IT teams to align tech solutions with goals.
• Facilitate cross-unit architecture discussions and present recommendations.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions on technology strategies.
