Job summary

The U.S. Department of the Interior seeks a Senior Super Intelligence Engineer/Architect reporting to the CIO to serve as the Department's senior technical authority for Super Intelligence (SI). The role focuses on enterprise-scale AI architectures, model pipelines, cloud platforms, and secure deployment practices to support mission-critical needs.

Location is negotiable across DOI offices. The minimum pay starts at $151,661 with considerations based on current salary and other factors.

Qualifications

Senior SI Technical Architect with authority on AI system architecture, lifecycle engineering, and solution design.
Experience aligning architecture with enterprise IT, data ecosystems, and mission needs.
Ability to evaluate emerging SI technologies and advise on feasibility for the Department.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Department's Senior SI Technical Architect and strategic leader for Super Intelligence (SI).
Lead development of enterprise-scale SI architectures across AI models, pipelines, cloud environments, and platforms.
Evaluate emerging SI technologies and provide adoption pathways for AI algorithms and platforms.
Oversee enterprise testing and validation of AI capabilities, assessing accuracy, robustness, and mission impact.
Develop Department-wide SI engineering standards and reusable patterns for secure, efficient AI development.
