Job summary

Cencora seeks an experienced AI Architect to lead enterprise Generative and Agentic AI solutions. You will design architectures, drive rapid POC/MVPs, and govern AI deployments across cloud platforms. You will mentor engineers, set standards for prompt engineering, and ensure scalable, secure AI workflows.

Ideal candidates combine deep LLM, RAG, and multi-agent expertise with strong communication skills to align business needs with production-grade AI systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field.
• 6+ years IT experience spanning software engineering, cloud architecture, and/or AI/ML.
• 3+ years hands-on architecture in Generative AI / Agentic AI systems.
• Strong Python and modern AI development frameworks.
• Experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Llama).
• Deep understanding of RAG, vector databases, and embedding models.
• Experience on Azure/AWS/GCP with native AI services.
• MLOps/LLMOps: CI/CD, containers, observability, eval frameworks.
• Knowledge of AI governance, security, compliance, Responsible AI.
• Excellent communication to present to execs and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture for enterprise Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions.
• Lead rapid POC and MVP development to validate AI use cases.
• Architect scalable AI platforms using LLMs, RAG, vector DBs, multi-agent frameworks.
• Design API-first architectures (REST/GraphQL) for enterprise integration.
• Define technology standards and best practices for prompt engineering and governance.
• Guide MLOps/LLMOps for deployment, monitoring, lifecycle management.
• Lead architecture reviews and present designs to stakeholders.
• Mentor AI engineers and raise the technical bar across the team.
• Evaluate cloud AI services balancing scalability, cost, and security.
