Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior AI Architect to define end-to-end Agentic AI architectures, turning LLMs and multi-agent systems into secure, scalable enterprise solutions. You will collaborate with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams to architect AI capabilities and integrate with enterprise systems.

Ideal candidates bring deep AI/ML experience, strong Python skills, and cloud-platform expertise (Azure preferred) with a focus on scalable, compliant AI deployments.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in AI/ML and GenAI, incl. LLMs and tool usage.
• Strong Python programming skills with AI libraries experience.
• Experience architecting on Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse and data ecosystems.
• DevOps/MLOps capabilities incl. CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring.

Senior AI Architect

About the role

As a Senior AI Architect, you will make an impact by defining end-to-end Agentic AI architectures that turn large language models, multi-agent systems, and orchestration layers into secure, scalable, enterprise-grade solutions for our client. You will be a valued member of the Digital Engineering team and work collaboratively with client stakeholders, data and platform teams, and cross-functional engineering groups.

In this role, you will

• Define end-to-end Agentic AI architecture frameworks leveraging LLMs, multi-agent systems, and orchestration layers.

• Design autonomous AI agents capable of planning, reasoning, memory management, and tool usage.

• Establish reference architectures for enterprise-grade AI applications that are cloud-native, scalable, and secure.

• Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems, including data platforms, ERP, CRM, APIs, and event-driven systems.

What you need to have to be considered

• Deep expertise in AI/ML and GenAI, including LLMs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and multi-agent architectures and agent frameworks.

• Strong programming skills in Python (primary) with hands-on experience across AI libraries.

• Experience architecting on cloud platforms, with Azure preferred (including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Studio, and Databricks), as well as AWS or GCP.

• Experience with modern data and platform ecosystems (Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse), REST APIs, microservices, and event streaming (Kafka, Event Hub).

• Strong DevOps and MLOps capabilities, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring, logging, and experiment tracking.

These will help you stand out

• Familiarity with Java, Scala, or Node.js in addition to Python.

• Experience delivering AI solutions within regulated or enterprise insurance environments.

• Experience partnering directly with client stakeholders to shape and advance technical direction.

Salary and Other Compensation

• The annual salary for this position is between $108,000 - $180,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

• This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
