Job summary

Capital Group is seeking a Senior AI AppSec Engineer to secure custom and procured AI solutions. You will help enable Capital Group’s AI strategy by building or procuring tools to protect enterprise AI platforms, collaborating with platform engineering, security, and risk teams to support scalable, secure AI adoption.

You will review code, establish threats, and contribute to security standards while guiding diverse teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in information security with focus on application/platform security or DevSecOps.
• Strong knowledge of AI security risks including LLM safety and MITRE ATLAS.
• Experience automating security checks into CI/CD pipelines (SAST/SCA/DAST).
• Familiarity with STRIDE and threat modeling frameworks; agile workflows.

Responsibilities

• Secure AI development lifecycle by embedding automated checks into AI SDLC/ML-Ops.
• Threat model complex AI/Agent systems with stakeholders.
• Review code for security vulnerabilities in AI-driven apps.
• Contribute to security standards, policies, and incident playbooks.
• Provide AI/Agent SME guidance for incidents and reviews.
