Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE/CE/CS or related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop sample applications for Application Developers on Windows on Snapdragon.
• Provide diagnostics to ensure sample applications reflect expected behavior of 3rd party apps with AI models.
• Interface with 3rd party developers and cross-functional teams to deliver easy-to-use samples and documentation.
• Contribute new features and designs to the Qualcomm AI toolkit.
• Develop and debug agent AI user experiences that leverage local and cloud AI models.
• Create engineering documentation, technical specifications, and requirements; participate in design reviews.

General Summary:

This individual independently plans, performs the moderately-defined responsibility for developing and ensuring sample application comprehensiveness for Application Developers on Windows on Snapdragon to cover the gamut of models used, and use-cases including use of additional snapdragon optimized libraries and functions. Provides sufficient performance and accuracy diagnostics in the sample application to accurately reflect the expected behavior of 3rd party applications that include AI models. Interfaces with 3rd party application developers and other cross-site and cross-functional teams to arrive at easy-to-use sample application, and documentation that are directly leveraged by 3rd party app developers for Windows on Snapdragon. Contributes new features and designs to the Qualcomm AI toolkit to enhance the workflow experience of Application Developers. Analyzes 3rd party and open-source agentic AI platforms on Snapdragon as well as on competing devices for functionality, performance, and system behavior of on-device agentic AI use cases and user experience. Develops and debugs new agentic AI user experiences that benefit from local AI models working in hybrid with cloud models. Identifies, evaluates and implements AI tools and processes to continually improve software development processes. Provides support on customer issues and requirements to Software Application Engineers by providing input to project planning and timescales. Creates engineering documentation for intellectual property, prepares technical specifications and requirements. Acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings.

Qualifications:

Will accept a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field and five (5) years of progressive experience in a related occupation.

Salary:

Pay Range: $115,347.00 - $166,900.00/year
