Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Application Security Engineer - AI & Agentic Systems to secure AI-enabled applications and agentic workflows. You will partner with engineering, product, platform, and data teams to embed security into design, development, and operation—covering both traditional and AI-driven solutions.

You will define secure patterns, conduct threat modeling and risk assessments, and drive responsible AI security controls across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, building, or securing enterprise-scale applications and platforms.
• 5+ years of application security including threat modeling, secure design, code review, and vulnerability management.
• 5+ years of programming in Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application and AI security standards and guardrails.
• Promote secure-by-design principles across development lifecycles.
• Lead AI security architecture reviews for LLMs, AI agents, and retrieval pipelines.
• Perform threat modeling, architecture reviews, and security assessments for AI-enabled systems.
• Mentor security engineers on secure coding and threat modeling.
