Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior AI Agent Developer to design, develop, and deploy intelligent agents that automate business processes. You will work with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Claude, Azure OpenAI, and enterprise data sources to build secure, scalable conversational AI solutions.

You will integrate with REST APIs, databases, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365, while implementing governance and responsible AI practices. Remote work options available for qualified US applicants.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing AI agents or Generative AI applications.
• Knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, NLP, and RAG architecture.
• Proficient in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience integrating apps with REST APIs, JSON, and enterprise systems.
• Experience with Azure, Azure OpenAI, or Azure AI Services.
• Understanding of AI agent design, orchestration, security, governance, and responsible AI.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI agents using Copilot Studio, Claude, and related GenAI tech.
• Build conversational experiences to answer questions, automate tasks, and run business workflows.
• Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems, REST APIs, databases, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365.
• Develop and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation using enterprise knowledge sources.
• Configure agent topics, actions, plugins, connectors, and orchestration logic.
• Create AI-driven business processes and workflow automations with Power Automate.
• Implement governance, security, compliance, and responsible AI practices throughout development.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot production issues, and continuously improve response quality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and translate needs into AI use cases.
