Job summary

Amazon Advertising in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Software Architect to lead the technical strategy for a greenfield AI-powered advertising platform. You will translate ambiguous business problems into scalable architectures and shape the product road map with Principal Engineers and Scientists.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy and architectural direction for a business-critical AI-powered advertising initiative.
• Partner with Principal Engineers and Scientists to define the engineering roadmap and scalable architectures.
• Design and build end-to-end services and platforms from the ground up.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, science, and product teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to accelerate product development.
• Mentor engineers, establish engineering best practices, and raise the technical bar as the team scales.
• Influence the long-term technical vision while delivering iterative, high-impact results in a fast-paced startup environment.
