Job summary

KBR's National Security Solutions team is seeking an Agile Release Engineer to support GED and IC customers. You will design, develop, test, and deliver release-ready products, collaborating with hardware, software, and data analysis teams to meet mission requirements.

Responsibilities include evolving CI/CD frameworks, leading ARTs, and coordinating release planning, while mentoring teams in Lean-Agile practices. A TS/SCI clearance is required for this contingent role.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
10+ years in Agile/SAFe roles; RTE or Scrum Master experience.
5+ years as Release Engineer.
Strong SDLC and release management knowledge.
Experience with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

Own and evolve CI/CD frameworks for Agile delivery.
Design, implement, and maintain automation for large-scale software.
Coordinate Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and align teams on vision and backlog.
Manage release planning, backlog grooming, PI planning and change management.
Coach teams on Lean-Agile practices and quality standards.
Leverage Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps for planning and tracking.
Drive improvements to release processes to reduce defects and increase velocity.
