Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking an Aggregates Project Manager to lead capital projects and short-term mine planning across South Texas Operations. You will drive execution from concept through commissioning, partnering with plant, quarry, maintenance, environmental, and engineering teams to meet safety, quality, and cost targets.

This role requires a 5+ year track record in aggregates or mining, a technical degree, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mining, civil, mechanical, industrial engineering, construction management or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in aggregates, mining, heavy construction, manufacturing, or related industrial environment.
• Experience managing capital projects from concept development through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Working knowledge of aggregate mining operations, quarry development, and short-term mine planning principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects and operational improvement initiatives from planning through execution while achieving safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives.
• Develop and manage short-term mine plans to support production targets, reserve utilization, equipment deployment, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with plant, quarry, maintenance, environmental, and engineering teams to align project priorities with operational needs.
• Develop project scopes, cost estimates, business cases, schedules, and resource plans for capital investments and operational improvements.
• Manage contractors, consultants, vendors, and suppliers to ensure successful project execution and compliance with company standards.
• Monitor project performance, manage risks and expenditures, and provide regular updates to operational and company leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and project commissioning activities to enhance safety, reliability, productivity, and overall operational performance.
