Job summary

Diverse Lynx LLC is seeking a Senior Agentic AI Engineer in Houston, TX. You will design and build production-grade LLM-based applications, integrating agent frameworks, tool calling, and multi-agent orchestration with strong Python and API backends.

Responsibilities include developing vector database solutions, managing scalable cloud services, and ensuring robust evaluation and safety for probabilistic AI systems. This role demands clear communication and ownership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years software engineering experience, including 2+ hands-on experience building LLM-based applications in production.
• Strong Python and prompt/context engineering; deep familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, open-weight models).
• Hands-on experience with agent frameworks, tool/calling, structured outputs, and multi-agent orchestration patterns.
• Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, etc.), embeddings, and retrieval system design.
• Solid backend fundamentals: APIs, async systems, distributed services, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
• Practical knowledge of LLM evaluation, safety, and reliability techniques; comfort working with imperfect, probabilistic systems.
• Excellent communication skills and a track record of ownership in fast-moving environments.
