Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Inventory Management Advisor to support Caterpillar dealers in the United States. The role focuses on designing optimization strategies, driving execution, and delivering measurable improvements across service levels and inventory investment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain analytics, logistics, demand planning, or a related field.
  • Proven success leading complex inventory, supply chain, or business improvement initiatives and delivering measurable results.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience using SQL, Snowflake, SAS, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Ability to identify root causes, validate data, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience influencing customers, dealers, stakeholders, and leadership through consultative, data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to evaluate operational, financial, and customer impacts.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and delivering results without direct authority.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to operational teams, dealers, senior leaders, and executives.
  • Experience mentoring others and serving as a subject matter expert.
  • Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and drive initiatives through implementation.
  • Onsite work five days a week and up to 10% domestic travel.

Responsibilities
