Job summary

Sumter School District is seeking an AFJROTC Instructor for Crestwood High School in Sumter, South Carolina. The Senior AFJROTC Instructor will provide learning experiences under the Principal and AFJROTC Director, delivering content per AFJROTC guidelines.

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and meet certification requirements, with strong classroom management and data-driven instruction to support high school students in JROTC. Salary uses AFJROTC MIP scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Retired Air Force officer or equivalent experience.
• Must complete JICC or Virtual JICC.
• Ability to work with high school students.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students to meet JROTC requirements.
• Provide lesson plans aligned to objectives.
• Deliver aerospace science or related curricula.
• Manage learning environment and assess progress.
• Instruct students in military drill and related activities.
• Coordinate with school and partners for program activities.
