Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Structures and Payload Design Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Charleston. The Payloads team handles the interior airplane environment, including stow bins, crew areas, cargo compartments, and related systems.

The role spans the product lifecycle from configuration support to certification. Responsibilities include drafting system requirements, designing with 3-D CAD, supporting production interiors, and leading tests to verify performance while

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Structural, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil engineering is required.
• Minimum 9 years of engineering experience in design, integration, or certification; Master’s may substitute for 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document structural and interior payload system requirements.
• Design structural and interior payload components with 3-D CAD.
• Support production system fabrication and interiors.
• Lead tests to validate and verify system compliance.
• Manage supplier development, testing and production activities.
• Collaborate with project teams to implement engineering solutions.
• Explore new technologies for future product concepts.
