Job summary

Expleo Group USA seeks an Expert/Consultant Stress Engineer in Wichita, KS to perform advanced aerospace stress analyses on metallic and composite fuselage structures. You will use Nastran, Patran and Abaqus, plus hand methods, to substantiate designs and support changes within Boeing programs.

The role requires 9–14+ years in aerospace stress engineering, collaboration with design teams, and delivering substantiation reports in compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 9-14+ years of aerospace stress engineering experience.
• Experience with static (FE and free body), fatigue, and transient analyses.
• Experience with composite and metallic structures.
• Must have Boeing program experience.
• Proficiency with stress analysis tools and methods.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and prioritize work contents based on project deliverables.
• Perform detailed stress analysis of metallic and composite fuselage components using hand methods and FEM.
• Review and analyze design changes and fatigue/static/DT loads.
• Generate stress substantiation reports and qualification plans.
• Coordinate with design engineers, vendors and management to ensure regulatory and project compliance.
• Present stress findings in design reviews and support change decisions.
