The team fosters innovation and drives engineering workflows of the future, shared solutions and standards, simplicity and lower costs, and manufacturable design. As a Senior Aerospace Software Engineer on our team, you will take a leading role in designing, developing, and deploying software that is critical to the success of our missions. You will leverage your technical expertise to lead complex software projects and mentor other engineers. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a variety of software applications, from onboard flight control systems and flight analysis tools to mission planning and simulation software. We are looking for a versatile and passionate software engineer who is excited to build the tools that will enable our space flight systems to meet mission requirements. Your work will directly impact our ability to design, test, and fly our vehicles safely and reliably.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience with front-end and/or back-end application development.
• Experience with software development in a Linux environment.
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with system design and architecture.

• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Experience in the aerospace industry.
• Experience leading software projects and mentoring other engineers.

Salary and Locations

• Base Pay Range for CA applicants is $197,529.00 - $276,539.55.
• Base Pay Range for VA applicants is $197,529.00 - $276,539.55.
• Base Pay Range for WA applicants is $197,529.00 - $276,539.55.
• Other site ranges may differ.
