Job summary

Swarm Aero seeks a seasoned Program Manager to own and lead research programs, reporting to the Director of PMO. You will coordinate government program management, budgets, and schedules, ensuring contract deliverables from design reviews through testing, with visibility across engineering, manufacturing, and test teams.

The role requires managing multiple efforts, strong communication with engineers and executives, and adherence to ITAR and security requirements while driving program cadence

Qualifications

• 7+ years in program management on aerospace/defense hardware.
• DoD contract management experience (S&T, prototypes, 6.2/6.3).
• Experience taking aircraft hardware through build and test to first flight.
• Proficient in IMS development, budget tracking and reporting.
• U.S. person status and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own research programs end to end as main contact for government managers.
• Drive execution from design reviews through flight test with PMO Director.
• Create and maintain IMS aligned to milestones and tests.
• Own budgets, burn, funding, and variance recovery plans.
• Deliver contract requirements and final deliverables on schedule.
• Lead program cadence: reviews, meetings, milestones with leadership.
• Run risk, issue, and opportunity processes and mitigations.
• Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, QA, and test.
• Manage scope changes and contract modifications with contracts team.
• Build PMO tools and processes for new programs.
