Job summary

Cruz Associates Inc. of Yorktown, VA seeks a Senior Level Aerospace or Mechanical Engineer to support Fort Campbell, KY, in defense aviation programs for the 160th SOAR.

The role involves engineering support across SIMO areas, flight test planning, and system safety integration with AED and TAPO collaboration. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Engineering, a Secret security clearance, 10+ years in aviation, 5+ years flight testing, and Defense Acquisition exposure; FAA Class III medical

Qualifications

• Possesses a Secret or Interim Secret security clearance.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in military/commercial aviation.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with planning and conducting flight tests.
• At least 3 years’ exposure to the Defense Acquisition process.
• Ability to pass the FAA Class III Flight Physical.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans, coordinate test activities, including test range scheduling, data collection and processing.
• Apply and administer the requirements of AR 70-62 as they apply to Army Special Operations Aircraft.
• Participate in TIMs, Program Reviews, TIWGs, and SSWGs.
• Participate in aerial flight in a Flight Test Engineering capacity.
• Work with Aviation Engineering Directorate (AED) and TAPO counterparts.
• Perform routine clerical, administrative, and logistics tasks in support of the SIMO.
