Job summary

Eaton Corporation’s IS AER ITD division seeks an Aerospace Design Engineering Specialist - Interconnect Products in California locations Camarillo or City of Industry. You will provide technical oversight for EWIS components, drive product lifecycle changes, and mentor teams across military and commercial programs.

The role emphasizes leadership in engineering investigations, qualification programs, and cross-functional collaboration with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, or related engineering field.
• Minimum five years of product engineering experience in interconnect product development, analysis, and test.
• Experience leading engineering programs with delegation and coaching of peers or junior engineers.
• Experience resolving failure investigations using 8D or RedX methodologies.
• Experience leading product qualification programs for mechanical/electrical products.
• Export control and U.S. person eligibility requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight to design/analysis/test of EWIS components for aerospace, industrial, and military applications.
• Drive product line leadership through engineering Change Orders and Enovia PLM.
• Review and provide feedback on engineering deliverables to product engineering.
• Guide IPTs in requirements management through lifecycle stages.
• Provide direct technical support to customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and coach cross-functional teams.
• Lead RCCA investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Lead MRB reviews of discrepant hardware and perform functional assessment.
• Apply ACES standards within PROLaunch and contribute to ACES improvements.
• Help assess hardware/technical data jurisdiction under ITAR and EAR.
• Participate in industry group committees on interconnect products.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, or other related engineering field

Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Materials, or Systems Engineering
