Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Sr. Hardware Process Engineer to own the end‑to‑end build and test process for satellite payload systems.

You will translate product requirements into process specs, define GSE and test system requirements, and collaborate across design, test, manufacturing, and quality teams. You will lead yield performance, drive root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions such as alignment updates and screening improvements, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years in manufacturing, test, or GSE engineering.
• 5+ years on precision electro‑mechanical hardware projects (aerospace/defense/optical).
• Experience owning a test station or manufacturing process from requirements to production hand‑off.
• Experience with precision motion metrology and CAD (NX).
• Experience leading formal failure investigations (8D) and CAPAs.
• Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack‑up analysis.
• Experience developing PFMEAs and control plans with Quality Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end build and test process for satellite payload systems.
• Define functional requirements for GSE and test systems and ensure station readiness.
• Lead yield performance, root cause investigations, and corrective actions.
• Maintain process documentation and deploy changes with feedback loops.
