Job summary

Specter Aerospace is seeking an Aerospace Engineer III-IV to support design and analysis of high-speed airbreathing testbed vehicles. The role involves numerical simulations, wind tunnel support, and detailed aerothermodynamic analyses, with collaboration across internal teams.

The ideal candidate has experience with high-speed simulations, wind tunnel testing, and trajectory analysis (3DOF/6DOF), and may need DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3+ years of relevant full-time experience in high-speed aerospace.
• Experience with high-speed numerical simulations of aerospace vehicles.
• Experience with wind tunnel tests at various facilities.
• Ability to obtain DoD security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of numerical analyses for high-speed flight systems.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and coordinate with design teams.
• Coordinate wind tunnel test preparation and execution.
• Develop aerodynamic models using multi-fidelity data.
• Support trajectory optimization and analysis (3DOF/6DOF).
