Job summary

RS&H is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join the Aerospace Design Group in Merritt Island, Florida. You will lead design of power distribution, standby systems, and building electricals for space-related facilities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support national aerospace missions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited or equivalent).
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Active PE license.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design of medium- and low-voltage power distribution and standby systems.
  • Develop building electrical systems including grounding, lighting controls, and fire detection.
  • Perform load flow, short circuit, arc flash, cable sizing, conduit fill, and protective device coordination.
  • Produce diagrams, schematics, BOMs, and build-to-print docs for control/monitoring systems.
  • Evaluate electrical/instrument components for ground support equipment.
