Job summary

ICEYE US is seeking a Senior Aerospace Cybersecurity Architect to define and advance security architecture for satellites, ground infrastructure, and mission systems. You partner with software, operations, and engineering teams to embed cybersecurity by design across the lifecycle.

Responsibilities include risk-driven architecture, threat modeling, security controls, and compliance with NIST RMF/CMMC, with a focus on space-to-ground systems and secure data flows. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, EE, aerospace, or related field.
• 5+ years in aerospace or complex systems.
• 4+ years in cybersecurity architecture.
• Experience with security architectures for distributed/embedded systems.
• Experience with risk assessments, threat modeling, vulnerability assessments.
• Knowledge of NIST RMF/SP 800-53/171 and CMMC.
• Translate risks into engineering requirements.
• US security clearance or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, and maintain cybersecurity architectures for satellites, ground stations, mission systems, and supporting aerospace technologies.
• Establish cybersecurity principles, security patterns, requirements, and design standards for aerospace environments.
• Integrate security-by-design into system architecture, software development, DevSecOps, satellite operations, and mission design processes.
• Perform architecture-level cybersecurity risk assessments, threat modeling, attack-surface analysis, and security design reviews.
• Analyze system trust boundaries, interfaces, data flows, and dependencies to identify cybersecurity risks.
• Identify and assess vulnerabilities affecting embedded systems, OT, communications, and cloud environments.
• Develop architecture-level security controls and mitigation strategies for aerospace technologies.
• Conduct and support security assessments, penetration testing, and architecture validation.
• Serve as cybersecurity architecture partner to software architecture, IT, DevOps, and engineering teams.
• Evaluate cybersecurity risks with APIs, third-party integrations, supply chain, hardware, and software.
