Job summary

RTX is seeking a proactive Senior Design Engineer in Columbus, Georgia to support the design and production of compressor blades and vanes. You will collaborate with CIPT, ESTO, quality and manufacturing teams to address design requirements and drive improvements for both commercial and military engine hardware.

The role requires a BS in Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years. Travel is <10% domestic/international; onsite work with relocation eligible.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with 5+ years of design/analysis experience.
• Advanced degree in engineering with 3+ years experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform compressor blade and vane design activities within an IPT.
• Evaluate product improvement opportunities and implement engineering changes.
• Conduct design analysis to support quality nonconformances and field issues; identify root causes.
• Support incorporating Airfoil 2.0 at Columbus Forge and improve manufacturability.
• Present technical recommendations and program status to CIPTs and ESTO leadership.
