Job summary

LiquidPiston in Suffield, CT is seeking a Senior Aerospace Engineer / Aircraft CAD Integrator to own the top-level CAD model and drive cross-disciplinary aircraft integration. You will coordinate across structures, propulsion, avionics, electrical systems, and other subsystems, guiding the design from concept through detail design, prototyping, and flight-test iterations.

Qualifications

• :Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• :5+ years of applied engineering experience in aerospace/defense/advanced mobility.
• :Experience owning a top-level CAD assembly for a complete aircraft or major system.
• :Proficiency with SolidWorks/CATIA and large assemblies.
• :Strong understanding of mechanical design, interfaces, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Own, maintain, and improve the top-level aircraft CAD model.
• Integrate subsystems into a cohesive vehicle configuration.
• Coordinate CAD models and inputs across engineers, vendors, and partners.
• Resolve geometry and interface issues to maintain a buildable model.
• Support design reviews and test iterations with current models and drawings.
• Assist in prototyping, testing, and flight-test preparation.
