Job summary

Precise Systems seeks a Senior Aerosol Scientist to join a research effort characterizing threat materials and environmental backgrounds, from aerosol generation to deposition and reaerosolization. You will work with multidisciplinary teams on respiratory protection, detection, and decontamination.

Required MS (PhD preferred) in a related field, 5 years of aerosol-science experience, and demonstrated expertise. This on-site role requires U.S.

Qualifications

• MS (PhD preferred) in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a closely related field.
• Five years of research experience in aerosol science or related field.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and on a team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with capability to produce technical reports and publications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide teams in establishing novel aerosol methodologies for characterization of chemical and biological threats and environmental backgrounds.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on bioaerosol collection, sampling techniques, and analysis.
• Operate, maintain, and develop aerosol generation equipment and environmental chambers, including software modifications.
• Integrate, operate and troubleshoot a wide array of chemical and biological sensors and aerosol measurement instrumentation.
• Analyze and interpret complex data sets from aerosol instrumentation and detection equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on projects related to respiratory protection, detection, and decontamination.
