Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an Aerodynamics Engineer to propel the next generation of efficient and high‑performance vehicles. You will lead aero development from concept to volume production, partnering with Design, Vehicle Engineering, and Program Management to push the boundaries of efficiency and performance.

The role requires strong CFD/wind tunnel experience, CAD proficiency, and a track record of delivering innovative solutions in cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

BS degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent experience.
8+ years in aerodynamic development.
5+ years using CFD and experimental testing (wind tunnel/road testing).
3+ years creating and manipulating 3D surfaces in CAD.

Responsibilities

Use first principles to create aerodynamically efficient designs.
Collaborate with Design and Vehicle Engineering from concept to production.
Work with Designers to balance aerodynamics and aesthetics.
Design and modify aerodynamic concepts in CAD.
Evaluate designs with CFD and experimental testing.
Plan wind tunnel, road, and track test programs.
Collaborate with engineers to optimize part execution and resolve conflicts.
Develop tools and methods used by the Aerodynamics team.
