Job summary

The Vanguard Group is seeking a senior Enterprise Web Architect to lead the architectural strategy for AEM-based digital experiences across public and secure sites. You will define reference architectures, govern CDN edge configurations, and drive modernization initiatives to improve scalability and delivery performance.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years related work experience, with at least five years of development experience.
• Experience leading enterprise web architecture and engineering initiatives across multiple teams and platforms.
• 5+ years of deep hands-on expertise with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including headful, headless, and AEM Forms.
• Strong command of modern frontend frameworks and technologies, including React, Web Components, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
• Experience with micro-frontend architectures, module federation, or similar patterns for large-scale secure web applications.
• Experience architecting and optimizing high-traffic customer-facing websites using Akamai CDN, caching, edge configuration, and performance optimization.
• Experience with secure (authenticated) and public website architectures, including integration with identity providers and content security.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures with AWS services.

Responsibilities

• Partner with architecture leaders to define and evolve strategy for AEM-based web platforms and digital experiences.
• Establish reference architectures, design patterns, and engineering standards to drive scalability and reuse.
• Lead architectural direction and adoption of AEM Cloud Service, including modernization and migration initiatives.
• Architect and govern CDN capabilities, including caching strategies, edge configuration, WAF policies, traffic management, and performance optimization.
• Drive modernization of web platforms and CMS solutions to improve scalability, maintainability, and delivery efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership for frontend engineering using modern frameworks, including React and Web Components.
• Champion modern web practices: accessibility, responsive design, performance optimization, secure coding.
• Serve as SME for AEM across Sites, Forms, Assets, and related technologies.
• Architect integrations between web platforms, APIs, identity solutions, and Adobe ecosystem technologies.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and architecture teams to review designs and resolve complex decisions.
• Translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions and long-term engineering strategies.
• Define secure website delivery patterns including authentication and data protection.
• Mentor engineers and maintain architectural standards and documentation.
